You can never tell the day or time when someone will steal your identity. ID theft is on the rise, which is why credit monitoring companies are in growing demand. In part 1 of Top Credit Monitoring companies, three credit monitoring companies were listed including Identity Guard, Lifelock and Identity Force. In part 2, we’ll cover what identity thieves look for.

ID theft thieves look for:

User names, passwords and PIN numbers
Social Security numbers
Phone and utility account numbers
Bank and credit numbers
Driver’s license and passport numbers
And, more.

When an ID thief locates one of the things listed above, they use it to control current bank, loan and other accounts.
