Who Are Visa and MasterCard?

When people get credit cards, some may be under the impression that the Visa or MasterCard logo on the front represents the company responsible or the card. That’s not true. Visa and MasterCard are only the companies who process the payments for the card companies.

These cards facilitate electronic funds transfers throughout the world by processing payments between banks of merchants and the card issuing banks or credit unions of purchasers.

Both Visa and MasterCard each offer benefits, and have very minor differences.
