Have you or anyone you know ever had your credit card declined? It always happens at the most inopportune times and is the fastest way to turn a fun time out into an embarrassing disaster. Most times we aren’t aware of why it happens. Here are some common reasons your credit card may be declined:
- Buying something internationally. If you’re trying to book a flight overseas or purchase something that’s in a foreign country, your credit company may block your transaction. There are so many threats nowadays, companies want to be extra cautious before letting an international transaction go through
- Fraud protection was triggered. Any type of suspicious activity will raise a red flag to your card issuer. If this happens, they will disable your card and issue you a new one.
