There are times when there is no option between paper or plastic. Your only choice is paper and in this case we mean cash. When you’re in a situation when you need to use cash, and don’t’ have any you may be tempted to use your credit card for cash back.
What is a cash advance?
A cash advance is money you pull from your credit card for a short term loan. Usually, your credit card company will allow you to pull up to a certain amount. You can pull this cash from an ATM machine or a bank. You’re basically using your credit card instead of your debit card to pull the cash.
Carefully decide what amount you need before pulling. Most companies will not allow you to pull your entire credit limit anyway. You’re confined to a certain amount. It it’s an emergency, plan accordingly because you may not be able to grab the entire amount off your credit card.
